Clubs First

Lansdown Hockey Club are currently working towards Clubs First accreditation and aim to achieve the status by July 2009. Clubs First is the England Hockey club accreditation scheme.

Clubs that recieve the award are recognised nationally for providng a Safe, Effective and Child Friendly hockey environment.

The accreditation scheme has four key areas:

  1. Developing Young People in Hockey
  2. Safeguarding and Protecting Young People
  3. Sports Equity and Ethics
  4. Club Management

The Committee has been working towards accreditation for some time now, updating and drafting new policies and procedures for the club.


Attached (Links to right – highlighted text) are a number of Lansdown Hockey Club policies and procedures that are part of the Clubs First process and also ensure the smooth running of Lansdown.
